Downtown Penthouse Case Study

 Renovation Details

A dated penthouse loft built in the year 2000 got a major facelift! Located right in downtown Denver, the dated finishes needed to be brought up to the current times to match the industrial feel of the building and neighborhood it is located in. The kitchen was opened up to the living room and the panoramic views this penthouse offers. Concrete flooring throughout the entire loft (captured in the labor portion of the budget) and an exposed ductwork ceiling in the living room gives the condo a spacious, industrial feel. The industrial touches throughout the condo are balanced by using custom warm wood cabinetry that operates without hardware and warm quartz countertops in the new kitchen. What was once a small seating area was transformed into a bar with an antique mirror backsplash to accommodate the clients love for entertaining.

Previously, a massive spaceship-looking range hood sat at eye level in the kitchen, and this was completely removed in lieu of a downdraft vent for the Bertazzoni induction range—one of the new feature points of the kitchen.
