Downtown Mountain Loft Case Study

Renovation Details

This downtown Denver condo garnered inspiration from the mountains while designing this main floor makeover. The living room, kitchen, and dining room were completely transformed, and a bar area was built into the dining room as part of this warm and inviting renovation.

  • In the living room, the fireplace wall was completely reimagined, a coffered ceiling added depth and interest, and custom built-ins that matched the kitchen cabinetry were included

  • In the kitchen, a local cabinetry vendor built the custom cabinetry and helped perfect the stain color to our exact liking. A custom range hood was sourced from a local artisan vendor, and other high-quality pieces that featured natural tones and soft/subtle textures—such as the backsplash, cabinet hardware, and Subzero appliances—produced a simple, elegant, and sophisticated final product. A plumbing stack through the center of the kitchen could not be moved due to the needs and restrictions of other condos in the same building, so the stack was wrapped in the same steel as was used on the range hood to make it feel intentional and cohesive with the rest of the kitchen.

  • In the bar, the feature/splurge piece was the exotic marble stone countertop and backsplash
