Cherry Creek Charmer
In this project, the clients and the Brayton Interiors design team reviewed dozens of floor plan options prior to landing on the perfect one for this 1980 split-level house that backs up to Cherry Creek State Park. The design team eliminated the extremely low ceiling that was arbitrarily placed in the kitchen and instead leveraged the home’s architecture by revealing the vaulted ceiling and opening up walls.
The kitchen became the centerpiece of the home, but it was also important to maximize the functionality of the other spaces to accommodate the young couple’s growing family. We were able to do so by creating a butler’s pantry that shared an entry with an informal office / play area, and these spaces abutted the new dining room that was outfitted with custom lighting and a new hardwood floor.
